School Programs

The Hemet Museum holds tours throughout the school year for third grade students of the Hemet Unified School District.  Contact Darlene Ramirez, Hemet Museum School Tour Coordinator, at Darlene.Ramirez51@yahoo.com to schedule a tour. .

These tours teach students about the rich heritage of Hemet and the entire San Jacinto Valley and help them to treasure the rich historical resource that is the Hemet Museum. Sandy Kasper is the Director of the Hemet Museum School Tour Program and is a Board member of the Hemet Heritage Foundation. Sandy does a wonderful job educating our 3rd graders about Hemet's history and other local history.  After Sandy does a brief talk the students go on a scavenger hunt. They also go outside to different hands-on workstations to learn how things were done at the depot in the past.

If you are interested in being a Hemet Museum School Tour Volunteer, contact Darlene Ramirez.  We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to share our cities amazing history with these students.
